One of the world’s most celebrated and versatile opera singers Angelika Kirchschlager joins the Academy of Ancient Music together with Richard Egarr (director and fortepiano) for an evening of Haydn and Mozart on Thursday 25 April 2013 8pm. Please note the opening piece which was previously advertised as Mozart’s Symphony No. 31 in D major, K297 ‘Paris’ will now be Mozart’s Symphony No. 33 in B flat Major, K 319.
For their eagerly awaited concert on Saturday 8 June 2013, 8pm the Philharmonia Orchestra have advised that due to international scheduling reasons conductor Christoph von Dohnányi will now be replaced by Paavo Järvi. The orchestra have announced that they will be opening the concert with Arvo Pärt’s Fratres*, followed by Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, K488 performed by the distinguished British pianist Paul Lewis and finishing with Dvořák’s popular Symphony No. 9 in E minor, "From the New World".
