About the National Concert Hall
The National Concert Hall - a leading player among concert halls
The National Concert Hall has enjoyed unprecedented success in recent years with attendance figures reaching record highs, the number of events promoted exceeding 1,000 events annually and significant growth in media coverage across all formats. Being at the heart of music in Ireland is central to the National Concert Hall’s core philosophy.
As one of the busiest and most successful concert halls in Europe, we set the standard for our competitors in Ireland, not only in terms of the events we deliver, but also in the service levels we apply, the artists we are able to attract and the development work we undertake to bring music to as wide an audience as possible. As an educator, we have brought music to many disadvantaged areas. Through investment in projects relating to music therapy, cultural integration and social cohesion, we continually see the benefits and influence of the National Concert Hall throughout the country.
Setting the tone for Ireland’s musical future
Our vision for The National Concert Hall is that of a world-leading auditorium and centre of excellence for the performing arts in Ireland. The Hall, on Earlsfort Terrace, is a building worth experiencing on its own merits alone, to say nothing of the exciting performances within it.
The acoustics are amongst the best in the world and the ambience is both socially and culturally inclusive, all-embracing. The National Concert Hall offers an environment to all customers which is relaxing yet stimulating; intriguing and innovative yet secure and reassuring; spacious and impressive yet close and intimate.
Locals are proud of our National Concert Hall. Visitors impressed.
For professional and amateur musicians, as well as for music lovers, the National Concert Hall is a destination, a goal, an inspiration and a home.
The National Concert Hall is home to the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Irish Baroque Orchestra, National Chamber Choir of Ireland, Music Network amongst others. We play host to many of the world’s greatest artists, in a wide variety of genres.
