Samba Sessions are once-off samba workshops, provided by the National Concert Hall Education & Outreach programme, for special needs groups across Ireland. Samba is very inclusive, and an ideal team-building activity demonstrating how each person's contribution, no matter what their ability, is important to the whole. It builds confidence and a sense of belonging; teaches rhythm, the foundation of music-making; and engages participants in the music of a different nation, for a rich experience of interculturalism.
Anyone who can tap a rhythm or vocalise can fully take part. There are no expensive instruments - a voice, a can full of beans, or two sticks will do!
