The sixth concert in the renowned Drawing From The Well series gathers Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, singers and dancers to the National Concert Hall stage on Sunday October 6 at 7.30pm to showcase their work inspired by ITMA’s rich archival collections. Devised by the Irish Traditional Music Archive and presented in association with the National Concert Hall, Drawing from the Well connects Ireland’s leading contemporary traditional performers with archival materials to inspire new artistic endeavours.   
The forthcoming concert features many of the country’s leading musicians, singers and dancers including celebrated singer, producer and member of The Gloaming Iarla Ó Lionáird and revered musical family The Mulcahys – Louise (flute/uilleann pipes), Michelle (harp) and father Mick (accordion, concertina). The stellar line-up also comprises many other luminaries including: Zoë Conway (fiddle); Seán McKeon (uilleann pipes); Síle Denvir (harp and singer); Iarfhlaith Ó Domhnaill (fiddle); Natalie Ní Chasaide (piano, fiddle, concertina); Cathal McConnell (tin whistle, flute, singer); Doireann Ní Ghlacáin (fiddle); Liam O’Brien (concertina); Stephanie Keane (sean nós dancer) and West Kerry band Cuas. 
Speaking about the forthcoming event, ITMA Director Liam O’Connor said:  "The vast collections of Irish music, song, and dance housed in ITMA continually inspire our contemporary artists. This concert will showcase the rich variety of our living tradition across its core pillars music, song and dance. For example, the lineup includes distinguished singer Iarla Ó Lionáird, dynamic dancer Stephanie Keane, virtuoso fiddle player Zoë Conway, the multi-talented Mulcahy Family, and stalwart of the Ulster music and song tradition Cathal McConnell. It is incredibly gratifying for ITMA to stage the sixth Drawing from the Well concert in association with NCH, showcasing the very best of traditional artists who take tunes from library shelves to Ireland’s premier concert hall."

About the National Concert Hall
