The National Concert Hall is delighted to announce the welcome return of Bell X1 for two acoustic shows on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November accompanied by The Theodora Byrne Ensemble, a mixed-voice contemporary choir. The shows will feature vocal arrangements for songs from across the band's catalogue.
Since the release of excellent debut Neither Am I in 2001, Bell X1 have emerged as one of Ireland’s most beloved talents. Songs like ‘Rocky Took a Lover’, ‘Eve the Apple of My Eye’, ‘The Great Defector’, ‘Velcro’, ‘The Upswing’ and others have soundtracked significant moments in many lives. Their most recent long-player Merciful Hour was released in 2023 to strong reviews.
Theodora Byrne is a session vocalist, keyboard player, arranger, musical director, and choir director. She established The Theodora Byrne Ensemble, a mixed-voice contemporary choir, in 2020. They made their in-person debut performing with Bell X1on RTE's The Heart of Saturday Night and were also featured alongside Bell X1 on Other Voices: Home. They have also collaborated with Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent McMorrow and Wallis Bird.
