The National Concert Hall (NCH) is delighted to welcome back the Dublin Song Series over three Sunday afternoons this Autumn/Winter featuring a cast of leading Irish and International singers. Curated by pianist Dearbhla Collins and presented by the NCH, the series sees her join three acclaimed vocalists in separate afternoon recitals in the intimate surrounds of the NCH’s Kevin Barry Recital Room.   

The first event recital on Sunday 20 October sees Dearbhla joined by American baritone Sean Michael Plumb, hailed as the best young American baritone of his generation for his ‘elegant lyricism and responsive musicality’ (New York Times). On Sunday December 1, hugely successful Irish mezzo soprano, Paula Murrihy - who has charmed audiences in Opéra de Paris, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and more - guests to bring some of her favourite songs to the National Concert Hall audience. The final performance takes place on Sunday 12 January when exquisite American-born, Cuban and Colombian tenor, Anthony Léon, who won first prize at the Operalia Competition in 2022 makes his Irish debut.  

The series is curated by Ireland’s best known song pianist, Dearbhla Collins. She enjoys collaborating and performing with singers who have a real passion for song, among whom are Sir Thomas Allen, Sir Simon Keenlyside and Tara Erraught. Dearbhla is Artistic Director of the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition. She is also vocal coach at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin and Artistic Consultant at the National Opera Studio in London. In October 2017 she was awarded an honorary doctorate for her services to music in Ireland from the National University of Ireland.
