The National Concert Hall is delighted to present screenings of the much-loved children’s films Room on the Broom and Zog, with René Aubry’s inspired score performed live by the National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Terry Davies on Sunday June 4.

These magical films based on the books by author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler have captured the hearts of children around the world. Room on the Broom tells the story of a kind witch who invites animals to join her on her broom, and boasts voiceovers by Gillian Anderson, Rob Brydon, Simon Pegg and more. Zog, the story of a keen young dragon, features the vocal talents of such luminaries as Lenny Henry and Tracey Ullman.

These special screenings are a must-attend event for families, bringing to life some of the best-loved children’s characters of recent years whilst also providing the ideal opportunity to introduce youngsters to magic of live orchestral music.
