The National Concert Hall’s (NCH) calendar for May-June promises a diverse assortment of exciting events for all. Highlights include the inaugural Festival of Voice from Friday 27 – Sunday 29 June with performances including Iarla Ó Lionáird, Eimear Quinn and Tolü Makay with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), a very special concert by Academy Award-winning duo The Swell Season on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June, the return of Christy Moore on Saturday 3 and Saturday 17 May, the seventh instalment of the ever-popular Drawing from the Well on Tuesday 20 May featuring Cormac Begley, Dónal Lunny, Andy Irvine and more plus the return of the force-of-nature that is Ani DiFranco on Sunday 22 June.
Our International Orchestras & Recitals Season continues with the acclaimed Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra on Thursday 15 May with a programme featuring Roberto Sierra, Elgar and Rachmaninov and Perspectives sees the welcome return of the Brad Mehldau Trio on Wednesday 25 June. The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Season continues with a stellar selection of concerts including Artist-in-Residence Tara Erraught on Friday 2 May, Anja Bihlmaier who visits on Friday May 30 to conduct Mahler Symphony No. 9 and a live screening of JAWS with orchestral accompaniment on Friday 20 June.
The National Concert Hall’s (NCH) inaugural Festival of Voice which is dedicated to the power, beauty, and universality of the human voice, takes place from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June with performances by Iarla Ó Lionáird, Eimear Quinn and Tolü Makay with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), celebrated choral ensemble The Sixteen, John Spillane’s ‘Songs We Learned at School’, Piccolo Lasso Children’s Choir, The Dublin Gospel Choir, Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Marriage Equality Referendum and more.
Elsewhere in the calendar families can enjoy Revolting Rhymes with the National Symphony Orchestra based on the beloved poems by Roald Dahl on Sunday 18 May and Birdsong Boogie with The Echo Band on Saturday 21 June. Our Learning and Participation programme continues with Bring Along A Baby, Tea Dance Tunes and more.

About the National Concert Hall
The National Concert Hall (NCH) is Ireland’s national cultural institution for music, proudly serving the Irish public since it opened in 1981 through live music performances and significant educational and cultural programmes. Based in the heart of Dublin’s city centre, next door to the picturesque Iveagh Gardens, the NCH is proud home to our National Symphony Orchestra, as well as providing residence for a range of other music organisations including Chamber Choir Ireland, Irish Baroque Orchestra, Music Network, Crash Ensemble and Music Generation. It is currently planning for a major redevelopment of all facilities as part of the National Development Plan and Project Ireland 2040.
