National Concert Hall Offers an Array of Exciting Events for All this Culture Night
This Culture Night the National Concert Hall is delighted to present a compelling mix of live music and interactive workshops for all ages and tastes. Once again, Culture Night invites everyone, everywhere, on one joyful night to discover and celebrate all that our culture is today. All activities are free of charge.
On the National Concert Hall main stage, the National Symphony Orchestra with conductor Ryan McAdams will perform Philip Glass’ magnificently moving Violin Concerto No. 1 and John Luther Adams’ Become Ocean, which The New Yorker described as ‘the loveliest apocalypse in musical history’.
Our Learning and Participation programme offers a selection of exciting workshops which run three times over the evening – Gamelan, Percussion and Pop-Up Choir. No previous experience is required – all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!
An annual, all-island public event which takes place each year on the second last Friday of September, Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir celebrates culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
