National Concert Hall Brings Percussion Workshops to National Ploughing Championships 2024

The National Concert Hall is once again bringing its exciting Percussion Workshops for all the family to the National Ploughing Championships, which takes place from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 September at Ratheniska, Co. Laois. 

The Percussion Workshops will be located in the Culture, Creativity, Archaeology and Sport hub in the Government of Ireland Village. Visitors can take part in the workshops and also engage with NCH staff to find out about our upcoming events and activities. We will also have goody bags for all. 

The hub is located in the Government of Ireland Village which will feature almost 150 exhibitors from a variety of government departments and agencies, under the theme ‘Your Government, Your Community’. 

Visitors to the Government of Ireland Village will have the chance to engage directly with a diverse array government teams to learn about the latest supports, services, and policies they are interested in. This year’s event is designed with visitor engagement in mind, with all kinds of hands-on activities and services available for people of all ages.  

Some of this year’s other activity highlights include coding workshops to spark children's imagination and problem-solving skills; seeing what the Revenue detector dog can do; fashion upcycling workshops and trying your climbing skills on the 8-foot climbing wall.
