Misneach marks the debut album of The Misneach Orchestra, a dynamic new ensemble featuring top-tier Irish traditional and classical musicians from across the country, with deep roots in CCÉ Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The orchestra will perform the Misneach Suite, a newly composed body of work by Kildare’s own Ciarán FitzGerald, an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and conductor for the group. This concert celebrates the official launch of their album, while also highlighting Kildare’s exceptional musical talent with performances by two outstanding local acts.

Misneach, meaning 'courage,' brings together the vibrant soul of traditional Irish music with fresh influences from across the island, seamlessly intertwined with classical artistry. Performed by an exceptional orchestra of over 50 top-class musicians, this unique concert showcases newly composed pieces that honour the deep roots of Irish tradition while pushing boundaries in bold, innovative directions. Following a series of acclaimed performances nationwide, Misneach proudly takes the stage at the National Concert Hall for an unforgettable musical experience.

Adding to the night’s musical journey are Allta, winners of the prestigious Siansa Gael Linn 2024 competition, representing the next wave of young musicians, and The Beartla Ó Flatharta Céilí Band, 2024 All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil Senior Ceilí Band Champions, bringing their infectious energy and lively music to the stage. Together, these performances will showcase the flourishing tradition of music in Kildare, a county punching well-above its weight and producing a world-class standard of music.
