Órán Halligan made his Concerto debut performing Gershwin’s ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ with the Dublin Concert Band at the National Concert Hall as part of their 60th Anniversary Gala Concert. He would then go on to perform Poulenc’s Piano Concerto in C# Minor with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Órán was recipient of the ‘John O'Conor Cup for Outstanding Musicianship’ and winner of the 10th Annual ‘Irish Freemasons' Young Musician of the Year Award’. His recent album ‘Visions’, which explored previously unrecorded works in the canon of Irish piano repertoire, was featured on RTÉ Lyric FM.

Órán returns to the John Field Room to present a recital of overlooked gems in the piano repertoire. From Richard Wagner’s opera-infused Sonata in Ab Major to Ottorino Respighi’s charming piano miniatures and the grand, symphonic Sonata Fantastique by French composer Benjamin Godard.
