Our Ambition

The redevelopment of Earlsfort Terrace will create a new and vibrant campus for music - a state-of-the-art facility - that will not only allow us to continue to celebrate the diverse rich tapestry of music-making in Ireland, but to also inspire our nation to enrich their lives and creativity through music.

We are transforming large, under-utilised areas of the Earlsfort Terrace site into additional performance and rehearsal spaces while expanding the capacity and technical facilities of the main auditorium. This redevelopment will allow for the National Symphony Orchestra, our three choirs - the National Symphony Chorus, Cór Linn and Cór na nÓg – as well as other onsite residents to develop and flourish, creating an exciting hub for music in Ireland and an important cultural quarter for the city of Dublin. It will support and enhance our outreach and community projects such as Music in Mind, Health & Harmony, Music in Children’s Hospitals, amongst many others.
